Diy Doll Stand

After a disappointing purchase from eBay buying doll stands to use for the craft fair, I decided to take to Pinterest and make one myself.

Supplies I used:

2 long thin dowels
2 small popsicle sticks (cut a popsicle stick in half)
2 matchstick size wood pieces (could also use dowels)
6 clothespins
glue gun

And then I cranked up my Luke Bryan playlist on youtube :)

1.Take apart the clothespins ...

2. Glue them together back to back ...
Ok, so while I am not admitting anything but it might be possible that I got caught up in watching the videos that I forgot to take pictures of the next steps ... But can you really blame me, lol.
So I took some close-ups after the fact ...

 3. Glue the clothespins together to form the base, like so ...
4. Insert the long dowels into the holes formed when the clothespins are together. This part might be a bit tricky if you got crappy clothespins like I did so I glued them around the dowels first and then glued the rest together ...
5. Glue a small popsicle stick across the dowels an inch or so from the bottom for support ...
6. Using the doll as a guide, mark where you need the arm rests ...
7. Glue another small popsicle stick across where you marked it ...
8. Glue the matchstick pieces to the dowels letting them rest on the support stick ...
9. Add doll and Voila! You are finished ...
